What is the Endowment Fund
The Board of Directors established an Endowment Fund for New England Philharmonic in 2006.  The Endowment is invested to generate income in perpetuity to enhance the operations of NEP.  Donations could be made by individuals, families, foundations, and businesses, either directly or as memorials for individuals.  In addition, bequests can be made under wills as a legacy gift.

Why Support the Endowment Fund
It is important for all arts organizations to have a variety of sources of funding.  Both economic cycles and donations by foundations can cause funding to swing from year to year.  A strong endowment provides a stable base of income to protect against those fluctuations.  With growth of the fund over time, it can also make resources available to allow NEP to expand its operations and offer more benefits to the community.

Make a Gift of Cash

Make a Gift of Appreciated Securities
A gift of marketable securities qualifies for an income tax deduction equal to the full market value, while avoiding capital gains tax on the appreciation.  Speak to your broker and to our Manager to arrange for this donation.

Include the Endowment Fund in Your Estate
Your trust or will can designate the “New England Philharmonic Endowment Fund” as a beneficiary.  A gift can consist of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance, or almost any other asset.  The bequest is deductible for estate tax purposes.  For advice, speak to an attorney.
