The concert includes the Boston Premiere of Michael Gandolfi’s Chesapeake: Summer of 1814 that chronicles the events that led to the creation of the Star Spangled Banner, featuring both the Simmons College and MIT College Concert Choirs. The evening also marks the world premiere of Bernard Hoffer’s Violin Concerto, written for and performed by NEP’s Concertmaster Danielle Maddon.
