The New England Philharmonic, under the direction of Richard Pittman, presents its annual Family Concert on December 15th. The concert includes Richard Cornell’s Umai’s Journey featuring the Boston Children’s Chorus and narrated by Renée T. White, Dean of Simmons College and the first movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto that will be performed by NEP’s Young Artist Competition Winner, Sammy Andonian.
After the performance, children in the audience will be invited to join our orchestra members on stage to visit our Instrument Petting Zoo. We’ll have instruments on stage for everyone to touch and play! We also hope you’ll consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy for our Toy Drive to benefit The Home for Little Wanderers.
