The New England Philharmonic is one of the few ensembles of its size to support a Composer in Residence program. and is proud to have done so continually since 1985. The Composer in Residence advises the Music Director on repertoire, judges the annual Call for Scores competition, and fulfills commissions from the orchestra for new works. Past Composers in Residence include Robert Kyr, Marjorie Merryman, Richard Cornell, Andy Vores, Michael Gandolfi, and Peter Child. The current Composer in Residence is David Rakowski.
