New England Philharmonic
Performing the masterpieces of our
time.
Auditions
Since its inception, the New England Philharmonic has maintained
its unique mission to perform the orchestral works of today's
composers along with the standard and lesser-known compositions by the
masters of the last 250 years. This all-volunteer orchestra is
composed of amateur and professional musicians and students who donate
their time and talent to make this mission a success.
The NEP invites all interested musicians to audition. Audition
dates, times and location(s) will be announced in August, and listed
on this page; please check back periodically. When specific times and
dates have been announced, you may then contact auditions@nephilharmonic.org
to be assigned a time. Unfortunatley, we are unable to assign time
slots until until we have determined when and where auditions will be
held.
Audition requirements are two pieces or excerpts of the
performer's choice from standard repertoire, one technical and one
lyrical, plus some sightreading.
Rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings from 7:15 to 10:00pm at
Simmons College, on the Fenway.
Rehearsals are already underway.
