New England Philharmonic
Performing the masterpieces of our time.

Auditions

Conductor

Since its inception, the New England Philharmonic has maintained its unique mission to perform the orchestral works of today's composers along with the standard and lesser-known compositions by the masters of the last 250 years. This all-volunteer orchestra is composed of amateur and professional musicians and students who donate their time and talent to make this mission a success.

The NEP is still looking for experienced string players. Please email auditions@nephilharmonic.org immediately to schedule an audition.

Audition requirements are two pieces or excerpts of the performer's choice from standard repertoire, one technical and one lyrical, plus some sightreading.

Rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings from 7:15 to 10:00pm at Simmons College, on the Fenway. Rehearsals are already underway.

Concerts for the 2009-10 season are on Saturday October 31, 2009; Sunday December 13, 2009 (afternoon concert); Saturday February 27, 2010; and Saturday May 1, 2010, all at the Tsai Performance Center in Boston.
